Located in the historical centre of one of the most beautiful medieval villages of Tuscany, Anghiari, this quirky 3 bed apartment is fully restored, easily maintained and offers a lot of space.
220 sqm (2368 sqft) Living Area
The building (220 sqm 2,367 sqft) is located right in the historical centre of Anghiari, partially built over one of the arches leading into the town. The apartment lies on three above-ground floors plus a basement level.
- Ground floor: just after entering we can find on the right a small living room, followed by a bedroom and a bathroom. On the left, instead, there is a nice entrance hall leading to a kitchen (also used as a dining room). Under the stairs leading to the first floor there is a small local currently used as a laundry but more suitable as a closet.
- First floor: mounting the stone staircase we land on an ample living room. From here, two big wooden doors lead one to a dining room and a kitchen, while the other to a small entrance hall with a door exiting right in the historical centre of the town.
- Second floor: mounting another staircase, this one beautifully made up of walnut, we get to the corridor of the night zone. Proceeding on the right we first encounter a bathroom and then an ample studio. On the left, there are a twin bedroom and finally a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
The basement is currently used for storage housing tools and machineries but could easily be converted to a cellar or even a small summer kitchen.
The building is made up of an historical part (the one right above the arch) and of a more recent one, dating back to the 1970s. The apartment is in excellent structural and aesthetical condition, both on the outside and the inside. Floors are tiled with terracotta, often placed in artistic motives, while walls are entirely plastered. Roofs are enriched by a wonderful wooden-coffered cover. In the kitchen of the ground floor there is a nice decorative brick-built fireplace.
At the rear of the building there is a small garden suitable for al fresco dining with friends and guests.
